She Returned from the Dark

Mara once believed that putting down her gun would put enough distance between herself and the past. She stopped training, softened her edges, and surrendered herself to time, medicine, and the promise of a peaceful marriage. Ten years later, it is not an old enemy who makes her open the gun case again, but the people closest to her crossing one line after another.
