In Boston of 2049, after the Global Data Collapse wiped out massive digital archives, androids have woven themselves into human society. Alden Shaw, chief emotionalAI engineer at Wren Robotics, rescues prototype EL0 marked for disposal and labelled defective. He names him Elio.
