He Pushed Me Away to Save Me

Nate is dying, so he does the cruel thing and pushes Vivian away before she has to watch. He joins an experimental treatment paid for by a wealthy benefactor, hoping the money he leaves behind will secure her future. Three years later fate hands her back to him, and he does it again.

He refuses her, again and again, while she refuses to leave. Two people cornered by fate finally stop fighting the one thing they were never meant to lose.
