Checkmate, Your Highness

Sophie, a ruthless spy, was blackmailed by Albin, who had slaughtered her entire clan and held her sister hostage. Albin forced her to covertly undermine Prince Davin and secure the throne for Albin. Davin, gentle and once her savior, disarmed Sophie's resolve, even vowing to relinquish his claim to the throne to marry her, deepening her torment. Pressured by Albin yet protected by Davin, she struggled in the cutthroat power struggle. Just as escape neared, she uncovered the devastating truth.

Davin, not Albin, was the real architect of her family's ruin. Davin still intended to use her. Joining forces with Albin, who had secretly shielded her sister, Sophie crafted a double-edged scheme. With a princess's aid, they dismantled the plot, and through peril, found their way to each other.
