Synopsis
Four years ago, Henry Smith, once the revered heir to M City’s wealthiest family, fell from grace and became a bar porter. David, his former bodyguard who once endured abuse, rose to command the mafia. Vengeance consumed David. He laid traps woven from money and affection, driving Henry to public ruin. Yet when his revenge was complete, only emptiness remained.
In this ruthless game, he had unwittingly fallen in love. Further investigation uncovered the buried truth: Charles, a man long obsessed with Henry, was the true culprit behind David’s mother’s death and the collapse of the Smith family. The life-saving funds Henry had sent years ago were intercepted by Charles with Ethan’s aid. Turning his blade toward the real enemy, David realized he had wronged the one he loved. Bound by love forged amid hatred, he would devote the rest of his life to grasping a belated chance at happiness.
