Mystery of missing Crystal Soles

Family hopes Brittanee Drexel's update solves the 2005 disappearance of Crystal Soles.

Family members of a mother who disappeared 17 years ago hope the Brittanee Drexel murder investigation will help solve her disappearance.

Crystal Soles, 28, disappeared in Andrews, South Carolina, on January 24, 2005, after telling her parents she was on her way home.

Brittannee Drexel disappeared four years later in Myrtle Beach, 20 miles away.

Raymond Moody, 62, is accused of killing Drexel. He's a suspect in Crystal's case.

No trace of Crystal has been found since, leaving her family with questions about what happened after the call and whether she's still alive.

Crystal's son Mitchell Soles, 22, who was 5 when she disappeared, wants closure.

Mitchell and his family are hoping a breakthrough in another local missing persons case will help them finally learn what happened to Crystal.

Brittanee Drexel, 17, vanished in similar circumstances around 20 miles away in Myrtle Beach during an ill-fated spring break trip with a group of friends.

Local press and Georgetown County residents have long linked the two mysteries.
