Vivianne Miedema rejected interest from other prominent European clubs to sign with Arsenal, the WSL club revealed Friday.
The 25-year-old forward conducted talks with PSG and Barcelona but chose to stay in London.
Vivianne joined Arsenal from Bayern Munich in 2017 and has scored 117 goals in 144 games, including 23 in 2021/22.
She's the WSL's all-time leading scorer and led the league in 2018/19 and 2019/20.
Vivianne won the 2017 women's Euros and finished second at the 2019 World Cup.
"The most wonderful part about the game is constructing something with a team," she remarked.
For me, winning titles with Arsenal means more than with another team right now. That's what I want with Arsenal."
Vivianne had a "great talent," said coach Jonas Eidevall, whose team finished second in the WSL.
He said, "That's great." "We want to win trophies and compete at the highest level. Viv has the same aspirations, and we'll do everything to achieve them."
