LOS ANGELES, September 22, 2022 – Ah! There will be more good medicines! The AFI-Peabody award-winning FX series Reservation Dogs, created by co-creators and executive producers Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, has been renewed for a third season. This was announced today by Nick Grad, President of Original Programming, FX. The series, available exclusively on Hulu, is currently in its acclaimed second season. The third season will be released in 2023 exclusively on Hulu.
“Reservation Dogs continues its remarkable streak with critics, fans and awards recognizing the exceptional excellence of the series created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi,” Grad said. “FX is proud to have commissioned a third season with our partners at Hulu, featuring an amazing cast and all of the artists who deliver one of the most original, engaging and fun shows on television.”

Filmed in Ocmulgee, Oklahoma, Dogs of the Reservation was a breakthrough in the representation of indigenous peoples on television both on and off camera. Luckily for the kids, they have the support of their loving and eccentric community of aunts and uncles to help them get through this, including Bear’s mother “Rita” (Sarah Podemsky), local law enforcement “Big” (Zan McClarnon), ” Uncle Brownie by Elora. (Gary Farmer), parents of Willie Jack “Dana” (Jennifer Podemsky) and “Leon” (John Proudstar) and “Spirit” aka “William Knifeman” (Dallas Goldtooth).
Reservation Dogs has curses and catfish, dance routines and trust drops, decent people, terrible people, and a cavalcade of secondary characters that color and shade this already colorful world.
