Freddie Prinze Jr was everywhere in the late 90s and early 00s. His roles in She’s All That and I Know What You Did Last Summer made him a superstar and helped land him a role on 24 in 2010. However, they didn’t help him get along with the show’s host, Kiefer Sutherland.
Prince joined 24 in the final season of the original show, playing Cole Ortiz, a CTU operative. Although 24 was popular, the setting on set was far from ideal, Prince said. “I did 24, it was terrible. I hated every moment,” Prince said. ABC News. “Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. It’s not me talking nonsense, I would have said it to his face, I think that everyone who worked with him said it.
Prince went on to say that Sutherland and the producers of 24 made him take off his shoes for filming certain scenes, and hinted that this should be done to make Sutherland appear taller. As Prince pointed out, this could be fixed if Sutherland stood on the box or hired a shorter actor to play against him. Prince said it was such a terrible experience that he wanted to quit acting altogether, which eventually led to him taking an extended break from the industry.
Sutherland’s representative eventually responded to Prince’s claims by saying: ABC News“Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze Jr. over five years ago, and this is the first time he’s heard of Freddie’s displeasure,” a spokesperson said. “Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him all the best.”
