Papangkorn Lerkchaleampote, better known as Beam, had a bright future ahead of him, as everyone who had ever interacted with him or seen his work as an up-and-coming artist had nothing but positive things to say about him. Sadly, it all came crashing down earlier this year when he unexpectedly passed away. As a result, Netflix’s six-part limited series “Thai Cave Rescue” is the only production he has ever officially completed. It’s just one of the many reasons he was honored there with a credit saying, “For Beam 1996-2022.” As a result, now if you want to know more about him as well as his passing, we’ve got you covered.

Who was that guy from Beam?

On August 31, 1996, Papangkorn “Beam” Lerkchaleampote was reportedly born in Bangkok, Thailand, into what is said to be a very supportive family. He made his debut in the entertainment industry in 2015 as a model and actor. His first major role was actually the same year as the main character of Muek in the LGBT romantic comedy “Water Boyy”, and after that he gradually rose through the ranks to do better and better work in the industry. The fact that he practiced taekwondo from the age of six until the age of fourteen contributed, at least in part, to his imposing physical appearance, in addition to his undeniable ability and tenacity, but it is important to note that his physical appearance was not the only factor in his success.

Beam was therefore able to secure a large number of Netflix original episodes that take place in Thailand. Some of these shows include “Nong Mai Rai Borisut”, “Mister Merman”, “Sleepless Society”, “Bang Rachan” and “Blue Wave” among others. However, Kraam’s character in Netflix’s “The Stranded” (2019), in which students from a prestigious school are shipwrecked on a remote and mysterious island, remains the most important thing he’s ever done professionally. Then, of course, he was able to perform miracles as Coach Eak in the movie “Thai Rescue Cave”, but it looks like he won’t be able to finish filming his latest and upcoming romantic comedy, which is called “I love Destiny 2.”

How did Beam die?

Beam was rushed to hospital on March 23, 2022 from his apartment in Chatuchak, located in Bangkok, Thailand. His mother had made an emergency call to the hospital, reporting that her son had stopped breathing. That fateful day, she went to his bedroom to wake him up and approached closer when she had no reaction. She was shocked to see that there was not a single breath left in her body when she finally realized what she was looking for. Beam was reportedly pronounced dead at nearby Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital following several failed attempts to revive him in the moments after the incident. The 25-year-old had been in critical condition since the crash.

Reports say the cause of death was the event known as Sudden Unexpected Death (SUD), as there was no indication of foul play in his room or residence and he died. quietly in his sleep. However, his relatives requested an autopsy just to be sure, prompting his talent management company to issue a statement promising to provide new information, if any. For this reason, and the fact that there has been no news for the past six months at the time of writing, it would seem that the actor has passed away due to completely natural and unforeseen; the fact that he was otherwise healthy and happy makes this situation even more tragic.

Beam Die’s first movie

The LGBT drama film Water Boyy was released in Thailand in 2015 and was directed by Rachi Kusonkusiri. Ngern Luangsodsai Anupart starred in the film as “Nam” and Beam Papangkorn acted as “Meuk”. The majority of filming took place in Thailand.

In early March, it was announced that the original film would be remade into a series called Water Boyy: The Series, but with different actors. Characters such as Earth Pirapat Watthanasetsiri, now known as “Waii”, and New Thitipoom Techaapaikhun, now known as “Apo”, are among the newcomers. On April 9, 2017, it began airing for the first time.
