Warner Bros. Postpones premieres of several DC movies due to shuffling release calendar

In yet another shuffle that comes amid a slew of recent reshuffles at Warner Bros. Discovery, the long-delayed Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is being delayed again, while Shazam! The fury of the gods” is also carried back, Term reports. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was previously scheduled to release on March 17, 2023, but has now been pushed back to December 25, 2023. back from the previously scheduled release date of December 21, 2022.

The changes mean Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will debut five years after 2018’s Aquaman. As a result of the abandonment of Aquaman and Shazam! sequels, only one DC Extended Universe movie will hit theaters this year (Batman is not a DCEU movie) in the form of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s “Black Adam” car, which is due out on October 21st.

Aquaman and Shazam! sequels aren’t the only projects that have their scheduled releases changed. Former HBO Max exclusives House Party and Evil Dead: Uprising will now release in theaters, with the former set to premiere on December 9, 2022, and the latter on April 21, 2023.
