Judging from the title by James Wan Instagram post, the extra time will now give him time to get the complex visuals just right. “Here’s a little glimpse of some of the work in the big epic world we’re creating and I need time to get it right,” the director wrote, sharing a total of 10 images in his post. Among the images is one of Aquaman fighting Manta underwater, both armed with tridents. Other images show colorful underwater scenery, a massive battle scene, a sunken ship, massive waterfalls, and Aquaman fighting several underwater creatures.
In his message to fans, Wang also revealed that he’s looking forward to the second December release of the Aquaman franchise, as it’s a sign that good things are in store for the sequel. AQUAMAN and The Lost Kingdom are being rescheduled for Christmas 2023. I’m a bit superstitious and I love that it’s a December release just like the first one!” He wrote.
According to Wang, the images he shared barely scratch the surface of what’s to come, as he teased that a lot of the creatures featured in the film have yet to be revealed. Fans will have to wait a lot longer to see them, but based on Wang’s artwork, there’s a good chance they’ll be pleased.
