When it comes to supporting showbiz’s venerable practice of prop theft, Lauren German (who left the Chicago Fire in 2015) seems ready to do her bit. As noted in this Entertainment Tonight Interview with the actress and several of her Lucifer co-stars, Herman says, “I got a vintage lighter. It was really cool. Big-big lighter from the 1920s, 30s. It’s the size of a shoebox.”
Of course, not everyone has the opportunity to keep what they want from the show, as the devilish Tom Ellis lamented in an interview with IMDb on stage, grieving that he was unable to leave Lucifer’s car. But one actor in particular admitted to something interesting in the interview mentioned above. DB Woodside who plays Amenadiel, one of the chief angels of God, indicates that “I didn’t steal anything from the set.” The actor goes on to explain that he is reluctant to take the props because “if I steal something from the set, I feel like it won’t let me move on.” So while not everyone needs to hang on to a prop, for Herman, a very large lighter is just what it takes to evoke memories of her time on the show.
