Additionally, there were no rumors that Jason would remarry after his first marriage ended in divorce. It seems he is still mourning the loss of his children and regrets not being able to save them.

Tyler and Charley Worley’s lives were tragically cut short when they were only seven and three years old respectively.

What made Brandi Worley end her marriage to Jason Worley?

In fact, it was Jason Worley who filed the original divorce petition rather than Brandi Worley.

Ever since Jason discovered his wife had been having an affair with a neighbor, the future of the couple’s relationship is in jeopardy. He had every intention of leaving her right away, but was forced to reconcile with her after Brandi threatened to use the fact that he had attempted suicide when he was in high school as proof that was incapable of parenting.

After being together for about a year, Jason discovers that Worley is cheating on him again with another woman. At this point, the software engineer has come to the conclusion that he must end his relationship with his adulterous wife.

On November 15, 2016, Jason called an attorney and filed for divorce, alleging that Brandi had been unfaithful to him during their marriage. Brandi’s horrific acts of murder against her children happened the next day.

As the murder weapon, Brandi used a Kabar combat knife that she had purchased at a Walmart. On the night of the murders, she begged Jason to sleep with her on the couch, but he refused and fell asleep in the basement instead. Then, under the guise of a sleepover, Brandi brought her son Tyler, who was 7 at the time, to Charlee’s room.

At this location, she began by killing Tyler by repeatedly stabbing him in the neck. Charlee was awakened by the sound of the stabbing, but Brandi urged her to go back to sleep. When Worley was done with Tyler, she turned her attention to her own daughter and used the same method to end her life by stabbing herself in the neck.

Before Brandi committed the murders, she had summoned her mother to come to the house, but she had not revealed anything about her intentions to kill anyone. The horrified screams Brandi’s mother let out when she discovered the bodies of her deceased grandchildren finally awoke Jason from his slumber.

The only reason Brandi committed these heinous acts was to prevent her husband from gaining custody of their children and taking them away from her. She initially entered a plea of not guilty to the prosecution, but later changed it to a plea of guilty.

As for Jason, he continues to feel guilty for the choice he made to spend the night of the homicide in the basement. He believes he could have saved his children or at the very least perished alongside them if he had slept on the couch.

The deaths have been identified as Charlee Rose Jean Worley and Tyler Daniel Clinton Worley, both born in 2009. (born in 2013). Sugar Creek Elementary School is located in unincorporated Montgomery County, Indiana, and Tyler attended there when he was in first grade. Charlee attended the Willson Early Learning Center, located in Crawfordsville, Indiana, for her early education. He was seven years old and she was only three when they were born.

Brandi married Jason Worley, a software developer, in August 2009, exactly two years after the couple got engaged.

According to an article by Shannon Hall of the Journal & Courier, Jason was quoted as saying, “The two have thought about splitting up in the past, but despite some struggles they have stuck together. On November 15, 2016, Jason Worley filed for divorce citing his wife’s multiple affairs as the reason. Tyler and Charlee Worley murders

Brandi Worley went to the Walmart in Crawfordsville, Indiana, under the pretense that she needed to buy some pipe cleaners for a school project her son, Tyler, was working on. The dance performance had just ended for their daughter, Charlee, and Brandi had just returned from attending. The Kabar combat knife that was used in the homicide was purchased by Brandi Worley on Nov. 16 at a Walmart, according to a Montgomery County government prosecutor named Joseph Buser. When she got home, the first thing she did was put the knife in Tyler’s room. She offered Jason the option of sleeping on the couch, but he refused, stating that he would rather sleep in the basement than on their bed or the couch.

Brandi lured Tyler to Charlee’s room saying there would be a slumber party there while Jason slept in the basement of their house. Jason was sleeping in the basement. She inflicted fatal injuries on the children by stabbing them in the neck, then she stabbed herself in the neck. Brandi murdered her son before murdering her daughter. After waking up and hearing what sounded like multiple stab wounds being inflicted on her brother, the girl demanded to know, “What are you doing?” Brandi asked her to “go back to sleep” in response to her question. After that, she stabbed her daughter several times. Finally, Brandi called 9-1-1 to report the murders. She indicated that she had “lots of Benadryl” in her system. She informed the 911 dispatcher that she had already spoken to her mother and that her mother was currently on her way to the scene. His mother was not yet aware of recent events that had occurred in the family.

At first, the 9-1-1 dispatcher hoped or believed the call was not genuine, so she contacted Brandi Worley’s mother, who was the victims’ grandmother, and asked her to verify how went the children. Jason was awakened by the screams of his stepmother when she discovered that her grandchildren had been murdered. Brandi informed Jason that at this point he was no longer able to take the children away from her. The police arrived around 3:30 a.m.

Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana served as the location for the autopsies that were performed.

In order to receive treatment for her self-inflicted injuries, Brandi Worley was first admitted to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

On November 22, 2016, the funeral of the victims was held at the Darlington Community Center and they were interred at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington after the service. On November 18, 2016, a vigil was held at the Congregational Christian Church, also located in Darlington.

After receiving a message from the father of one of the victims on Reddit, YouTuber Philip DeFranco offered to help Jason Worley. DeFranco asked his audience to donate to a GoFundMe account to help cover Jason Worley’s immediate living expenses as well as the children’s funeral expenses.

The divorce initiated by Jason Worley was finalized in March 2017.
