The first episode of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” will air on September 2, 2022, and viewers are slowly getting to know new characters who may become series regulars.
Fans will also see performances from some of JRR Tolkien’s most popular elves, like Galadriel and Elrond.
When characters are slowly revealed without giving too much away, viewers and critics alike are kept on their toes and excited. Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle and Benjamin Walker are among the show’s star cast. The newest character in the series is Bronwyn, who is not a canonical character. In an interview with Collider, actor Nazanin Boniadi had this to say about her character: “She’s a bit of an outcast because she’s so strong-minded and strong-willed. She is also a single mother and she has a forbidden relationship with an elf, which her community does not approve of.
Who is Bronwyn?
Bronwyn is called a “strange healer”. She is a single mother from Tirharad who is involved in a case against the law. Even Bronwyn’s biggest fans struggle to find enough content and information about her to better understand her character. For the TV show “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” the character was created. We also meet his son Theo, played by Tyroe Muhafidin. He is just as vague about his past and his reasons as his mother. The Silvan Elf Arondir, played by Ismael Cruz Códova, is believed to have feelings for Bronwyn. From what we know of Bronwyn and Theo so far, it’s hard to tell if they’re elves or people.
In “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power”, who plays Bronwyn?
Nazanin Boniadi, who is half British and half Iranian, plays Bronwyn. Vogue says the star has been a long-time Tolkien fan, so she was interested in being a part of his unique fantasy world. She first encountered ‘The Lord of the Rings’ through Peter Jackson’s blockbuster movie versions, and Boniadi says it was odd to be a part of the new TV series. She says, “After getting this job, I dove deep into Middle-earth, where The Lord of the Rings is set, and studied Tolkien’s love of myth and fantasy.” “His essay ‘On Fairy-Stories’ will make you love this kind of writing.”
Nazanin has acted in many other movies and TV shows besides ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’, such as ‘Homeland’ and ‘Hotel Mumbai’. Nazanin highlighted and said what she thinks about the different parts of the character she will be playing. She has been very insistent that Bronwyn is an outcast, which makes her both lonely and strong. She even said something about Bronwyn and the elf love affair, which is against the rules. Nazanin also explained how and why she relates to the character she plays. She was a pre-med student and is a human rights activist, while the character she plays, Bronwyn, is a healer trying to fix the bad things she’s done in the past.
