In any television series or film, it is important to get great shots. This fact has likely led to numerous horror stories of actors having to deal with tight schedules due to reshoots. But all this in order to take the perfect shots, because it can solve or destroy the project. And, sadly, the same is true of The Freaks. During “Weird” acting interview with Jake’s TakesSteve-O, Wee Man, and Chris Pontius explained that no matter how vicious or gross a stunt is, the crew usually asks the actors to repeat it again to make sure the footage is clear or to improve the scene.

“The thing is, they always do great things,” Steve-O said in an interview. “But, according to the director, maybe next time it will be even better. So even though it was brutal and crazy, it’s like you have to do it again.” Freaks Forever and series director Jeff Tremaine are often seen on the show with a devilish smile, watching the crew self-harm absurdly. However, it is not always easy for him to ask them to do some tricks again. As he later noted in the same interview, asking Johnny Knoxville to do a second take of the Magic Trick Bull segment for “Jackass Forever” was very inconvenient. This scene is also probably one of the hardest to watch, as it hurt Knoxville so badly that it ended his deadly stunt career.
