ABC weatherman Sam Champion is back on Good Morning America. He took over from meteorologist Rob Marciano last month.
On August 13, 1961, Champion was born. He is best known for serving as a weatherman for Good Morning America and ABC’s flagship station WABC-TV for 25 years. Previously, he helped host two shows on The Weather Channel: 23.5 Degrees with Sam Champion and AMHQ: America’s Morning Headquarters.
The reporter also gave his weather forecast to people watching Good Morning America. Ginger Zee took over after leaving the network in 2013, but he’s replaced her on occasion over the years. After seeing him again on GMA, people are wondering if he will return as a regular guest.
Sam Champion has disappeared
Champion left ABC, but later returned to replace Rob Marciano. On social media, Rob’s fans are worried about his absence. One person wrote, “Rob Marciano on GMA Weekend is something everyone misses.” I want to know what happened.
Someone wrote on Twitter: “If Rob Marciano won’t be on GMA anymore, it’s too bad you can’t say goodbye to him properly. If he decides he doesn’t want anything, that’s fine.
He also told America’s Morning headquarters on March 17, 2014 that she was leaving GMA. In December 2016, Champion and The Weather Channel decided not to continue working together.
What happened to the weather anchor on GMA?
Sam has had skin cancer four times. In May 2010, after being ill before, a stain was removed from his skin while he was on television. He said the place had basal cell carcinoma, which is a common type of skin cancer that rarely gets worse.
The first thing that happened was that he got a spot on his face a year ago. Then the doctors found another one. He still has scars, but he says people with much worse skin cancer have had it much worse. The champ wants people to take better care of their skin, so this morning he invited viewers into his dermatologist’s office. In May, people find out about skin cancer.
He said the part could have been seen as a publicity stunt to get more people to watch during the May sweeps. He says that is not the case and adds that he has done his job if the article makes people more aware of the risks.
But he can’t figure out what caused his skin cancer, which changed his outlook on life. During Cancer Awareness Month, he said he wanted to raise awareness about skin cancer.
Does Sam Champion’s husband, Rubem Robierb, have children?
Even though they have been married for ten years, they still have no children. And neither said they wanted to have children in the future.
The champion and his partner, Rubem, had fun and lived happily together. The couple don’t have a lot of free time as they both work full time and have to travel between states.
Instead, they spend much of their free time helping charities such as GLAAD, The Human Rights Campaign, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and many more.
Income and wealth of Sam Champion in 2022
Celebrity Net Worth says the reporter is worth around $10 million. He is a very wealthy American businessman. He also earns around $1.5 million a year. Sam Champion grew up in Paducah, Kentucky. He went to Eastern Kentucky University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.
He started working at WKYT-TV as an intern while still in college. He then had a successful career as a weather presenter. He doesn’t have a degree in meteorology like many other weather presenters. Instead, he learned most of what he knows about weather forecasting while working as a broadcaster.
Sam got more fans when he became the weatherman for WABC-TV and “Eyewitness News” in New York. In 2006, he became the weather anchor for ABC and “Good Morning America.”
