AT tweet Jason Blum from the set of Astral 5 shared a photo of himself walking with a smiling Wilson. Bloom captioned the image with a promise that fans will love the fifth installment in the franchise. “That’s right. Insidiousness is happening. And it’s going to be great. And you’re all going to love it. Just get ready and let [“Five Nights at Freddy’s”] rest for 2 seconds,” he wrote.

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a media franchise, primarily a video game, that Blumhouse will be adapting. Before teasing Astral 5, Bloom teased fans with an image of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop hard at work creating the animatronic creatures needed for this adaptation. “Great to work with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Their experience and knowledge in the field of animatronics is simply deadly!” he tweeted.

Wilson has already teased that he’s working closely with screenwriter Scott Tims, Insidious veteran Leigh Whannell and Bloomhouse on his directorial debut. In February 2022, while promoting “Moonfall”, he said he’s been all-in since the idea was first pitched.

“I’ve done a bunch of things with them so I’m very happy to have my first experience with a very helpful and friendly group of people who trust me for some reason. So we’ll see,” he said in an interview. Screen ranting.
