Mike Greenberg, 55, is a television presenter, an ESPN and ABC radio host, and the host of numerous television and radio programs. On weeknights, primarily Mondays, he and Mike Golic co-hosted the Mike & Mike show on ESPN Radio.
The 2007-2008 Duel host co-hosted Battle of the Network Stars with Joe on ABC’s sister network.
The New York Born previously worked as a sports anchor/reporter for local cable news network CLTV in Chicago and as a reporter for SportsChannel Chicago before joining ESPN.
The 55-year-old had previously worked as a talk show host and reporter for Chicago’s WSCR-Radio, covering events such as the Super Bowl and the World Series.
In the mid-1990s, he worked part-time as a sportscaster or anchor at Chicago’s WMAQ-Radio and wrote a weekly column for the Copley News Service, which had its offices in California.
Do Mike Greenberg and Get Up still exist?
As presenter of the ESPN program, Mike Greenberg is still employed. But he took a short holiday after a positive Covid test in January.
But that wasn’t the only time he took a break from his busy schedule. He tweeted that he was on vacation on July 1.
For 20 years, Greenberg and co-host Golic have been waking up sports listeners on ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike. In September 1996, Greenberg began his first stint as an anchor for the sports network ESPN.
After Mike & Mike’s debut on January 3, 2000, the 55-year-old ran SportsCenter for a while. Additionally, the National Radio Hall of Fame and the Broadcasting Hall of Fame, which were housed, welcomed new honorees in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
What happened to the preparation anchor?
Since his debut in 2018, Mike Greenberg has hosted ESPN’s morning show Get Up, according to ESPNpressroom. He was also tapped to host NBA Countdown on ESPN and ABC in October 2021, the NBA’s venerable pre-game show.
In August 2020, he made his long-awaited return as Greeny’s presenter on ESPN Radio. He frequently provides his unique and expansive perspective on many topical concerns from This Morning’s Get Up to the show, which airs on ESPN+ from noon to 2 p.m. ET.
The anchor began anchoring Bettor Days on ESPN+ in September 2020, a dramatized version of well-known gaming exploits.
Golic, the co-host of Mike & Mike, declared his retirement on November 17, 2017. ESPN’s NFL Live and SportsCenter host Trey Wingo took over from Golic on November 27.

Along with his comeback, he brought a brand new program called Greeny to ESPN Radio. He is a wonderful novelist who is still active today in addition to his work as an animator.
Why My Wife Thinks I’m an Idiot: The Life and Times of a Sportscaster On March 7, 2006, Greenberg’s first book, Dad, was published. At the 2006 Quill Awards he was nominated for Best Bookmaker.
The book’s peak position on the New York Times bestseller list was number 14. Mike and Mike’s Rules for Sports and Life, written by Greenberg and co-host Mike Golic, was published in April 2010.
As part of their book promotion campaign, the two Mikes also embarked on a 15-city book tour, including stops in New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Dallas, Boston and Tampa. In 2013 Greenberg published the book All You Could Ask For.
In January 2015, he finally published the book My Father’s Wives.

It is not known if Mike Greenberg is sick or on vacation.
Sports fans were puzzled by the disappearance of Mike Greenberg from his television show in late June and early July.
On July 1, 2022, Greenberg tweeted that he was taking a vacation. His fans felt comforted by this tweet. Many people, however, countered that they had already missed it on the program.
