Naidoo discussed her tragic loss on a podcast in June 2022. She claimed that throughout the lockdown, her sister’s mental health issues worsened. Additionally, she discussed her relationship with her sister.

She characterized her sister as an angel with smiling dimples. Described as “a dark outcast and a brilliant maverick”, her sister was a brilliant thinker.
She added that Manika continued to be “usually unstable”. Manika didn’t want to know the majority of people, the woman noticed. She has witnessed much suffering, instability and injustice.
Manika’s mental health had declined “even before the lockdown”, according to Indira, despite the fact that they were in constant communication. Her sister continued to be upset and furious and tragically took her own life.
When her younger sister died unexpectedly, presenter Indira Naidoo’s world was turned upside down. She eventually turned to the city for comfort and was drawn to a fig tree that overlooked Sydney Harbour. His writing of The Space Between the Stars was influenced by this.

Manika, Indira’s sister, was well known and skilled in creative and strategic public relations. She was a policy analyst for the Premier of Victoria at the time.
Manika was married to Brent Hooley, an Australian. Alia and Harry, two adorable children of whom she is the mother.
For Indira and Manika, there is also a younger sister named Suraya. Only one year separates the three sisters, Indira being the oldest.

When Indira Naidoo was employed by the ABC network in 1998, she first met Mark Fitzgerald. In 2002, they got married.
Mark Fitzgerald, her husband, is a well-known Australian television producer and director. Edge of Darkness (2010), The Departed and The Chaser’s War on Everything (2006) are among his best-known productions as a filmmaker and producer (2006).
Naidoo and her husband visited a number of Latin American countries in 2019. They traveled to many countries including Chile, Argentina and Cuba. They were also spotted at the Sydney Hilton’s Glass Brasserie for the Vin de Champagne Awards.
Galen Naidoo Harris and Oriana Naidoo Harris are the couple’s children. They are Australians who live in Sydney.
