Salinas and her two roommates were preparing to throw a birthday party for one of their friends on the evening of June 14, 2013. Shainey Duggan, Salinas’ roommate, reportedly said that Salinas was not in a good mood that evening- the. She said in a statement to People:
Adrienne was alone in her room, sitting on her bed, fully dressed and prepared for the party but unwilling to participate in the activities downstairs.

Then, before leaving around 4 a.m., she allegedly had a brief conversation with a roommate.
This time she was thought to have returned to her flat to change after her taxi was involved in a single car collision. However, no one saw her enter the apartment.
