What would the king of Westeros be without his Kingsguard? White-cloaked royals have always played a key role in A Song of Ice and Fire, and that tradition continues in House of the Dragon. As Lord Commander of the Kingsguard during the reign of King Viserys Targaryen, Ser Harrold Westerling has a lot to worry about. “House of the Dragon” takes him into a turbulent time for the family he’s sworn to protect, but he carries himself with dignity and professionalism nonetheless.
Fans of the fantasy genre should be familiar with Graham McTavish, the actor who played the role of Ser Harrold in “Dragon’s House”. He plays the dwarf Dwalin in all three of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit films and also portrays Dougal Mackenzie in Outlander. Just as conveniently in a voice booth, McTavish has used his vocal talents for a number of video games, animated series and films. He voices Dracula in the Netflix series. critically acclaimed The Castlevania series for which he received special praisein addition to voicing characters in Uncharted, Call of Duty, and Dragon Age.
All of this is just scratching the surface of MacTavish’s career, which also includes roles like King Atlan in Aquaman and the saint of assassins in Preacher, among many other small roles.
