Directed and Executive Produced by Respected Oscar-nominated and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and director Ridley Scott, the new Apple Original series hails from Apple Studios and will be produced by Scott Free Productions.
Based on the book The Drug Thief by Dennis Tafoya, The Sinking Spring follows longtime Philadelphia friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown rural home, only to have their petty scam became their life. and a deadly undertaking as they unwittingly uncover and unravel the largest hidden drug corridor on the east coast.
“Sinking Spring” marks the first venture into television development by Peter Craig, who serves as a writer and executive producer on all eight episodes and will also direct one episode. Scott is an executive producer for Scott Free Productions along with David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan and Clayton Krueger. Henry is an executive producer and Tafoya will be a consulting producer.
The premiere date for the upcoming series will be announced at a later date.
