“Big Mouth on Campus,” an episode of the third season of The Steve Harvey Show, focuses on Mr. Hightower’s friend and pal, coach Cedric Robinson, played by comedian Cedric the Entertainer. It’s time to turn our attention to other characters, and this is reflected in the plot of the episode, in which Mr. Hightower and the coach are nominated for the Booker T. Washington High School Teacher of the Year Award. It’s a new honor for Steve, and one that doesn’t mean much to him. The coach tries to convince his colleagues that he doesn’t care either, but in fact he doesn’t want to be hopeful, because he has already been nominated for the eighth time, and still has never won. He literally counts his merits and rhetorically asks his partner Lovita, who needs a trophy and measurable respect? Yes, Coach admits, and can no longer deny it. He Indeed wants this confirmation.
So, Steve, Regina, Lovita, and even some of the students conspire to make sure he wins by spreading the word that Mr. Hightower has been disqualified for some obscure reason. But instead of appreciating the honor of winning the now-rigged contest, the Coach becomes insufferable, arrogant and arrogant, showing up at school dressed as a stuffy college professor and demanding to be called “Mr. Robinson”.
