Olivia Cooke had a really hard time not stealing one of the ornate chalices adorning the Small Council chamber. Lady Hightower, the second wife of King Viserys I (Paddy Considine), spends a lot of time there.

Cooke explained that the chalices in question should symbolize each of the great houses of Westeros such as the Targaryens, Baratheons and Starks. Between takes, Cooke and her co-stars enjoyed playing with them. “We used to throw them at each other like a pool table or chips,” she said.

The bowls were apparently not available for the actors to take home, but Cook said HBO allowed the cast and crew to take the candles used on the show. Cook refused – there was so much soot from the candles on set that Cook and her co-stars had to clean their nails several times a day.

After all, Cook didn’t get a House of the Dragon memento, but the opportunity to be part of the Game of Thrones universe is a nice consolation prize.

The 10-episode HBO Original drama House of the Dragon premieres Sunday, August 21 at 9:00 pm ET/PT on HBO.
