The arrest comes a day after the victims were located at multiple crime scenes and authorities have not released any details about his arrest or the investigation.
Louisiana, Kansas: On Friday afternoon in Kansas, a 39-year-old man named Stephen Marlow was arrested on suspicion of killing four people in Butler Township, Ohio. The victims were discovered shot more than 600 miles from the location of Marlow’s arrest. Victims of the event were named by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office on Saturday as Clyde Knox, 82, his wife Eva Knox, 78, Sarah Anderson, 41, and daughter Kayla Anderson, 15. The mother and daughter were discovered together, while the older couple were discovered apart. Marlow posted a disturbing video of himself talking to his family and calling the shootings “executions”. The social media images were brought to the attention of investigators. They believe the chilling video was captured after the shooting.
Butler Township Police Chief John Porter said police were alerted to reports of gunfire Friday just before noon. When they arrive, they discover the bodies of the sad victims. Four people were discovered with gunshot wounds at various crime scenes. When the cops arrived, they were all pronounced dead. The bodies of Eva and Clyde Knox were discovered in their Hardwick Place home. Porter announced at a press conference that Sarah Anderson and her daughter Kayla were found dead shortly thereafter. The youngest victim, 15-year-old Kayla, was a high school student whom Superintendent Robert O’Leary called a “ray of light”. In case students need help, he continued, pastors, youth ministers and therapists will be on hand.
Marlow was released from probation in February after being charged with intimidating and aggravated burglary stemming from a July 2019 Dayton incident. Montgomery Country Police have charged him with four counts of aggravated murder. This is immediately followed by news of the incident. The United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio issued a federal arrest warrant for Marlow on Saturday. According to the FBI, he has already been accused of engaging in illegal fights to escape prosecution. It’s unclear if Marlow will be charged with anything further at this time. Porter said local authorities were making arrangements for Marlow’s mission. The Butler Township Police Department has received continued support from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Tobacco and Firearms with the ongoing investigation.
