Johnny Depp and his band Hollywood Vampires, which includes Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, and Tommy Henriksen, are embarking on a European tour.
Johnny Depp Returns To Music With His Band Hollywood Vampires And Plans For Next Summer Tour
According to Variety, they had to cancel a tour in March due to pandemic-related issues. We tried to make it happen for as long as we could, but the uncertainty of Covid travel restrictions made it impossible,” they said in a statement at the time.
Six shows in Germany and Luxembourg have been scheduled as part of the group’s reunion tour. The Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, will host its first show in June of next year, so fans will have to wait a while. June 30th at Zitadelle in Mainz, Germany, will be their final show before they break up.
When Depp traveled to Europe to begin performing with Jeff Beck just prior to the verdict in his lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, the actor made headlines as a guest on the legendary guitarist’s live shows.
For the remainder of the tour, Depp will join Beck in Europe, where he will perform until the final show on July 25 in Paris. The duo of Beck and Johnny Depp collaborated on a new album titled “18”.
This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr” has already been released as the first single from the upcoming joint project, which will be released on July 15.
Depp wrote the song as a tribute to the late American actress and singer-songwriter Hedy Lamarr (who died in 2000 at age 85). Depp composed two songs for the project: “Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade” and this one.
Original songs written by Johnny Depp are the exceptions to the rule on ’18,’ a collection of cover songs, some of which are sung by Depp and others that are entirely instrumental. The band will perform six shows in Germany and Luxembourg in the summer of 2023, with more dates reportedly on the way. On Monday (June 27) at 11 a.m. CET, tickets will go on sale.
“The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!!” Is The Supergroup’s Caption
Previously, Depp was seen on stage with Jeff Beck as a special guest during one of Beck’s live performances. Just days before the jury returned its verdict in his lawsuit against Amber Heard, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor traveled to Europe to perform with the legendary guitarist. Depp has rejoined Beck for the remainder of the European tour, which ends on July 25 in Paris, until then.
Joe’s personal Instagram account was updated with a photo of the duo performing together after the verdict was announced.
For those who won’t be able to make the trip to Europe, the band has announced that additional tour dates will be announced soon. “Keep an eye out for more to come,” they wrote in the accompanying caption.
During Johnny’s defamation trial, the Hollywood Vampires frequently used the hashtag #JusticeForJohnnyDepp on their shared Instagram account, encouraging fans to “send love and support to our fellow ‘boring old guy playing guitar’ Johnny!”
