my favorite place in the whole world is… So far it's a tossup between the Art Institute in Chicago and Mystic, Connecticut. Favorite moment during a trip was visiting the place where Edgar Allen Poe died in the Bronx.
my musical tastes… I really like those Paul Schwartz Aria albums. Also big on Delirium, Dead Can Dance, you know, that whole British weird postmodern Celtic-influenced thing. Lots of classical, too, and occasional bouts of classic rock.
the worst (or best) lie i've ever told was... "Well, I suppose you do have a point..."
my superpowers are... To transform myself and my surroundings into mystical wonderlands thundering with fury and color, all the while managing to keep myself somewhat successful at interacting with this world.
i would best describe my work ethic as… Work I get paid for, done before my boss knows she wants it. Work I do not get paid for, best times ever. My own work, now there's the rub. Must improve that, yes yes.
my turn ons are… Someone who tells Fate to go fuck themselves and works for what they deserve. A person willing to answer a lot of goddamned questions. One who understands that I am stronger than I seem but will still break if you know what you're doing.
things that turn me -off- include… Need unless it's something I need, too. Also, don't hate on Star Trek, Tim Powers, Tolkien, or radishes in my presence. You have been warned.
i would describe the way i dress as… Whatever fits that doesn't look too stupid. I don't spend the effort or time to look feminine or pretty. My personality is my best wardrobe, and does all that for me, for free.
i'm currently reading... The Pinball Effect by James Burke, True Believer by Eric Hoffman, End of History and the Last Man by Francis Fukayama, Declare by Tim Powers, Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy, and Hell House by Richard Matheson.
if i'm in front of the tv, i might be watching... Mostly sports. I'm getting indiscriminate in my old age and starting to watch things like tennis and volleyball. Other than that, movies that make me cry, laugh, or cringe. Especially ones that make me do all three.
when it comes to politics… I'm a logical socialist. I will cling to the ideals that I think are possible, and keep my hope for the human race. However, I do admit that certain elements are necessary in order to reach that Utopia.
my most recent disorder or neurosis... Stop your kvetching, there's not a damned thing wrong with me, lackbrain.
