Film Guy  R.I.P. Edward Woodward (1930-2009). "The Wicker Man," "The Equalizer."

A Little About Me...
Film Guy (Chas Andrews), a freelance/ Internet film writer that hails from Louisville, KY. I currently write for LouisvilleMojo, Wiregrass Parenting Magazine, and Baby Boom Review. I also write screenplays/ scripts, short stories, film reviews, and am in the process of working on a novel.

Behind the scenes I've helmed various cameras and shot on 8mm, Hi-8, Super 8, 16mm, regular/ S-video, and DV, and worked as a videographer and assistant photographer.

On the cinematic side of things other than listed I've cleaned movie theaters, worked in a video store, screened movies, and even earned a B.A. in Cinema Studies. I probably own over 400 DVDs and have a few impressive movie posters. While living in L.A. I met Leonard Maltin, Eric Idle, Wes Craven, and Kevin Smith. I last acted as a zombie on a friend's movie.

What I'm Looking For...
Honestly, they wouldn't let me leave.

Go Ahead, Ask Me Anything... top
my turn ons are…    the special, Limited and numbered edition remastered and remixed in 7.1 channel surround sound with director, cast, crew, and janitorial commentary, multiple hours of Special Features including documentaries, deleted scenes, and the catering menu.

things that turn me -off- include…    anything that Michael Bay or M. Night Shamma-lamma-ding-dong is part of

i would describe the way i dress as…    appropriate for the job title

my favorite place in the whole world is…    The Bridge Cinema in L.A. County

when it comes to politics…    whuh? This is about film.

my musical tastes…    Gustavo Santoalla, Jerry Goldsmith, Lalo Schifrin, Bernard Hermann, John Williams

i would best describe my work ethic as…    is the DVD done ripping, yet?

when it comes to my digs (apartment, home, etc.)…    I'm happy with my plasma TV

the worst (or best) lie i've ever told was...    well, the filmmaker was capable...

my superpowers are...    being just like the IMDB, but I don't have to logon

things that make me really angry!    Michael Bay, M. Night Shamma-lamma-ding-dong, and anything Luc Besson did after "Leon the Professional"

i'm currently reading...    the script for "Titanic 2"

if i'm in front of the tv, i might be watching...    a movie. duh

my most recent disorder or neurosis...    is not as bad as anything Roman Polanski has

A Question of Taste
It's no secret that tragedy often leads to TV and movie deals. Whether it's the Titanic (the center of the Oscar-giving universe) or baby Jessica in a well (the subject of two made-for-TV movies) there's someone somewhere in Hollywood waiting to adapt the next big news story. The most recent ...
