A Little About Me...
5/5/09: I spend most of my time on Facebook now. The difficulty involved in finding me there is part of the fun.
I have a short temper and a long memory. It turns out I do plenty by half-measures, but I always have grand intentions. I think keeping your heart locked in a box at the bottom of the sea is a pretty smart idea.
I've got a vacation home in Bizarroworld to which I retreat when life here gets too stressful. Fortunately I can still login to Mojo there.
Someday, I will find a way to sleep with Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
"Making art is kind of like being a naked woman, I imagine. You can't quite know what makes your stuff good, how other people see you, all you can really do is show up." ~frederic
"I never approve, or disapprove, of anything now. It is an absurd attitude to take towards life. We are not sent into the world to air our moral prejudices. I never take any notice of what common people say, and I never interfere with what charming people do." ~Oscar Wilde
"I believe in using words, not fists. I believe in my outrage knowing people are living in boxes on the street. I believe in honesty. I believe in a good time. I believe in good food. I believe in sex." ~Bertrand Russell

"The more you love, the more you can love- and the more intensely you love. Nor is there any limit on how many you can love. If a person had time enough, he could love all of that majority who are decent and just." ~Robert Heinlein

It is too constricting to say that you must always think outside the box; whether you are thinking inside or outside the box, you are still letting the box dictate your thoughts, are you not? What you are not acknowledging is the honest fact that the box itself is figmentary, illusory. And as long as one continues to act in reaction to this perceived set of dictates, one cannot be truly original in thought.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? (...) Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. (...) It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." ~Marianne Williamson
