2 days in a row I've tried to deal with them and they pissed me off over coupons and shit. Off to Bonnie & Clydes I go!

Can you be more specific about the problems you've had with them?

Their food isn't bad. It's not the best pizza in Louisville, but I enjoy it on occasion.

The one in J-town was fantastic when i lived out there a few years ago. The one on 4th street is horrible and awful and any other bad adjectives that mean "shitty".

We occasionally order from the Bearnos on Westport Road and haven't had any difficulties with coupons, food or service.

Yea seriously Bearno's is awesome. I think that Boombozz is way better but, it's still good. However Bearno's all meat special is the best I've ever had. They have that one for sure.

I like Boombozz, but if you don't have coupons it can be a bit too pricey.

The first day I had a coupon that had no expiration date on it, wanted a Mama Bearnos special, but they said it was old and wouldn't accept it.

The second day I decided I still wanted it so I got online, looked at thier specials and coupons, and called and ordered the Mama Bearnos special again from a coupon on their web site. After I finish ordering and get there, they wouldnt honor the coupon because I dont have a printer to print it out. I offered to pull it up on my phone as proof that it was there, but they said they have to have it physically in thier hands. So since they refused to work with me and made no attempt to keep me happy, they kept the pizza and I had Bonnie & Clydes, which is better anyway. We have a group that was going to Bearnos next weekend and I am successfully steering it towards Impellizeris instead. I dont play well with businesses that dont care to keep happy customers and now its thier loss.

I was just frustrated that day and venting, but it left a taste in my mouth that wasnt from pizza and that taste will last for a while unless they fix it for me, which I dont expect.
Oh well, see ya Bearnos.

Well, I'm not sure that any restuarant would take a coupon if you didn't have it on you. was it just the waitress or the manager. The waiter/ess could possibly get in trouble if the manager accuses them of simply lowering the price for customers.

Manager!

My experience is that most places (well, except Bearnos now) will honor a coupon if you tell them you have it when you call in your order.

Like I said, I was just venting that day. If they would rather toss the pizza than give me a simple $3 off of it and not have me talking people into eating elsewhere, then thats thier issue. Oh well.

I generally don't throw a fit over a $3 off coupon to the point that I leave.

I see your point though, I just looked and none of them says they need to be presented when ordering online. I like the Mama's Bearnos, a medium will feed 3-4 people to the gills.

I had an experience like this buying cat food at Petsmart. I usually go to Feeders. Petsmart had a flyer on their website with their sale prices. I walk into the store and they don't have any sale prices up and they don't have any flyers in the store.
They told me I should have printed it out from their website so they would know the item was on sale. I left and contacted their headquarters and ended up with a $40 gift card.

As much as I don't like most pizza delivery places, I had a couple of slices of Domino's chicken bacon ranch pizza drizzled with hot sauce today. That was some good stuff - as good as Boomboz's chicken pesto pizza.

I didn't know about the Bearno's buffet. I'll have to try it.

I think that at most places that manager would usually give you the discount to save both the sale and the customer relation. However, I have to say, to me, the difference between a 'special' and a 'coupon' is, well, a piece of paper. If it were a coupon, I would have told the manager when I ordered that I couldn't print it out and asked for the deal. Chances are you would get it - and, if not, you would know, and save yourself a drive and an extra half hour before you could eat.
