A good example of being unable to accept responsibility.
"A network cable is unplugged"
- We flipped the ends of the ethernet cable
- We disabled and enabled the LAN card
- We changed out the ethernet cable
- We disabled and enabled the the lan card again.
The process gets more amusing, because the customers' is convinced the problem sits in charters lap. Meanwhile I am having to preform all said steps in repetation with both husband and wife, who do not believe a device of theirs' is at fault despite owning both Modem and computer.
As a final ditch effort to convice the customers' that 'TeH InTerNet' was not the problem, I had the customers unplug the coax cable to the mdm, powercycle it, and see if the link status would come up.
This total call went on for 40 minutes before the accepted the resolution to have their comp or mdm checked for bad ports, the problem was discovered 2mins into the call.
