similar to: Felony Convictions:
If you have been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year, i.e., a felony, you are not only ineligible to possess a CCDW license; federal law prohibits you from possessing a firearm.

Regretfully, the Republican-controlled Senate budget committee voted down a bill which would have cleared the way for a full senate vote on slot machines at race tracks. The bill had already passed in the Democratic-controlled House.
How can the state that basically invented pari-mutuel gaming and bourbon have a Senate leader that somehow feels the moral authority to deny what is available to almost every citizen in every state across the union, that is except Kentucky.
Folks, the thoroughbred industry employs nearly 100,000 people. With Kentucky's unemployment at 10%, it's time for action.
So here's the solution: We need to put the fear of God, or dare I say the fear of losing one's Senate position, in the hearts of our Republican senators. In our viewing area that would include Senators Ernie Harris, Dan Seum and Julie Denton. Call, e-mail and tell them next election you're going to vote for change.
You see David Williams, the president of the Senate, is running state and Senate all by himself and all of the above-mentioned are afraid to vote against their leader. Where's courage when you need it?
It kills me to think of Kentucky going back to a one-party system, but if we are to move slots forward, Senate seats need to change.
Regretfully, that's my opinion.

I am not sure if this is still current but I am interested in getting my CCDW. Are you still doing it? What is the cost? When do you normally do the classes?
