Chicago Guy! says:
I will never go back. I've been here twice and both times I have been unhappy with the place. I am looking for something for my age group and people told me to try Phoenix Hill but its not for me.

Best place in town in my opinon, good music(most of the time), friendly people, large areas to just chill without being too crowded.

A lot of fun is waiting to be had...it almost seems a right of passage for people that have grown up here.

Good music most of the time, good drinks, and a pretty large place which is always good in my book. The outdoor bar section is great during the summer time.
Wish they were still a Mojo Sponsor!

This is sorta my "home bar" so to speak. I love all thing eclectic and this place screams it. The building itself is awesome and they have one of the best bartenders in Louisville in my opinion. If you go.....hook up with Ryan and get one of his FMR shots......you won't regret it! :)

I love to go to Phoenix Hill when they have events there, so that the normal crowd isn't there. It's such a unique building that you can't help but kind of like it; maybe a great place to take an out-of-town guest, but it's not somewhere I would want to go just to hang out.

I really love the layout and it is by far Louisville's most interesting club. Lots of things to see and do in here. However it probably draws the most annoying crowd, tons of white people trying to out-cool each other. The main stage iin the main bar area has nothing but modern rock cover bands, which gets real old. The middle area used to have blues bands, which was my favorite part. However I think I heard they are no longer doing that. And the downstairs stage sometime has good bands playing (even original bands from time to time), however on weekends it is usually just a dance area playing bad pop music. And I have heard horror stories about how they treat the local bands who play there. Their booking agent has left a bitter taste in many local bands' mouths. Eddy Metal's original metal showcases are really the only thing worth going there for, unless there is a good national band playing.
