Welcome to Mojo Channels, our own little initiative in citizen journalism. Like everything on Mojo, 99% of what you'll see here is all you. We've been working hard on these so-called channels and we hope you like what you see. There are kinks that need to be worked out, there's no doubt about that, and everything isn't categorized correctly yet, but we'll keep working on it. Overall, we think it's a pretty good first effort, and we hope you enjoy browsing the Mojo pages. If you see something missing, or you have something to add, don't wait for an invite. Dive in... the waters fine!
A couple of things to keep in mind when browsing (or blogging in) the channels...
The channel pages here are "near-real-time", so if you post a new blog entry and select a channel for it, it could take up to 15 minutes to appear.
Should you come across a piece that you think is especially good, be sure to give them their "kudos", as that's how they'll end up being featured more prominently here and throughout the channels.
Best,
- Chuck

just some thoughts
“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from ... more

Traditional dating values
I'm not terribly old--at least not "bone creaking, memory lapsing" kind of old.
I'm about to turn 40. And while I fully admit that it's time for my generation to step aside and give way to the younger generation, I do so with a bit of pity. Not pity for myself, but pity for the inheriting generation.
I'm old enough to re ... more

How To Dance In The Rain
How To Dance In The Rain
It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his
80s arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb.
He said he was in a hurry, as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.
I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be
over an hour before someone would be ... more

Feel it, Ride it, Eat it! LIFE!!!
Feel it deeply, life itself,
Don't sit there on the dusty shelf.
Riding the world improves your health.
Understand this, and need no wealth.
There is no need to worry,
As no one has really cared.
Those that do, truly have,
Obvious desires that go unshared.
Life can be quite cherry like,
Eat careful round the core.

Sorry Daddy!!!
You think I'm young You think I can't see
But I do, I see the way you avoid me
I can't do it can't take it no more
I know your home but won't answer the door
Mom's different now not like when you were together
She's says I can't see you now and she means that forever
But you should know that she's right

Breaking Down the Sweet 16
It's time to pick winners. As always, these picks are for recreational purposes only.
The SouthI was really down on the Big Ten all year, but after watching Michigan State handle Pitt, I'm starting to believe. A little. Memphis isn't fundamentally solid. Izzo is a solid Tournament coach, and he will find a way to explo ... more

Appeasement
President Bush spoke before the National Assembly of Israel earlier and in his address, accused Barack Obama and fellow Democrats of "appeasement", and drew parallels to what some politicians did to try to avert war with Nazi Germany back in the 30's. He says that sitting down and having face-to-face talks with President Ah ... more

The "New" Me
So I've done some serious soul searching of late and I've come to realize that there are alot of things about myself that I am very displeased with. It's time for me to make a change.
I've always thought myself a very timid and shy person. Lacking the basic courage to even tell someone how I really feel. Too afraid of my ... more

Mayo gets Mayonnaise
Was anyone shocked to learn USC's O.J. Mayo allegedly received impermissible gifts?
The NCAA and its rules. Always a laughingstock. One embarrassment after another.
Last week it was the Tennessee basketball program proving that the football coach has a better system in place to evade detection.
This week, it's O.J. M ... more

Simplist Pleasures and Blessings
Through my life I have been taught many lessons. You never take people for granted. Some day it may show you reap what you sew. Always pay good deeds forward. And love until you feel you will explode with joy!
Sometimes life teaches lessons that arent so pleasant. Sometimes it takes being stripped from luxuries of life to ... more
