Welcome to our Channels, our own little initiative in citizen journalism. Like everything on mojo, 99% of what you'll see here is all you. We've been working hard on these so-called channels and we hope you like what you see. There are kinks that need to be worked out, there's no doubt about that, and everything isn't categorized correctly yet, but we'll keep working on it. Overall, we think it's a pretty good first effort, and we hope you enjoy browsing the mojo pages. If you see something missing, or you have something to add, don't wait for an invite. Dive in... the waters fine!

A couple of things to keep in mind when browsing the channels...

The channel pages here are "near-real-time", so if you post a new blog entry and select a channel for it, it could take up to 15 minutes to appear.
Should you come across a piece that you think is especially good, be sure to give them their "kudos", as that's how they'll end up being featured more prominently here and throughout the channels.

Animals big and small, domesticated or wild... Your experiences and techniques with raising, training, dealing with and doting on beasts of all sorts. Pet adoptions of any sort are only allowed in the classified ads.

For the intrepid pioneers of the palate! Share recipes, cooking techniques, restaurant and kitchen gadget reviews, and news of the local eatery scene.

The Green Living channel is dedicated to all topics related to sustainability, recycling, climate change, energy efficiency and independence. We're going green, baby!

Mojo athletics at its finest! Progress, tips, and reviews on: fitness, wellness, gyms, diets, weight loss surgery, exercise, cosmetics, hair, and other non-permanent body alterations and improvements. NOTE: Other forms of body modification belong in the Tats & Body Art Channel. No advertisements.

home & garden
Your mom's basement just got a little bigger. Renovations, home decor, landscaping, gardening tips and techniques. The problems and joys of homeownership and reviews of gardening and home improvement products.

lgbt
Personal and public issues concerning the local lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender community. NOTE: Sexual orientation or identity alone is not a basis for material to be published in the LGBT Channel.

local news & issues
The dope on local, state, and regional politics, scandals, exposés, and hot button topics and controversies in our community.

love & relationships
We're not a dating site, but it does happen and this is where you can let the rest of the interweb know about it. Pictures of couples that met on Mojo and topics on love and dating.

movies & tv
Film and TV reviews, upcoming films both local and national, and your own film projects (pictures of film projects must be clearly oriented to this category). Equipment and technical discussion belongs in the Tech & Video Games Channel.

music
It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing! Bands, shows, concert reviews and gigs, as well as instruments and playing techniques. NOTE: Song lyrics belong in the Poetry, Lyrics & Words Channel.

parenting & children
The trials and pleasures of being a parent, of raising your kids and general boasting about them, as well.

Politics is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey-cage. An extension of our Local News & Issues Channel that allows for a wider range of topics and discussion in the political arena. Intended for material concerning national, international, and world politics and policies.

Technology in its various forms and applications: Ipods, CAD software, Xbox and Playstations, solar cells, etc.

travel & road trips
Highlighting destinations, vacation spots, or the trips that took you there. NOTE: Pictures of people simply hanging out, even if on vacation, may not be considered travel-oriented and should remain in personal galleries.
