Fox41 in Louisville has hired a new reporter who most recently worked at the Fox affiliate in Oklahoma City.
Kate Dulaune is a New Orleans native and will primarily be reporting during the station's 10 p.m. newscast, according to news director Barry Fulmer.
"We're very happy to have her," Fulmer said. "She loves storytelling, reporting and is interested in government."
Fulmer said he's re-shuffling some of his on-air staff after a few recent departures -- Dick Irby and Julie Tam. And he says he'll hire one more reporter before he's done.
"In this economy, it's great that we're still hiring," he said.
The station is amping up its online efforts as well. Yesterday, it aired a web-only story with reporter Lindsay Allen answering questions about the new arena submitted by Facebook fans. And the station plans to introduce Dulaune to viewers via Facebook.
Fulmer said Dulaune is already on board, and will most likely appear on a newscast for the first time Wednesday.
