This seems to be a week for sex crime reports in the local news. A man is accused of deliberately infecting hundreds of women with HIV, bad cops face allegations of sexual misconduct, and the manhunt for a Louisville rapist continues...

47-year-old Tony Perkins of Greenwood, Indiana (pictured here) has been arrested and charged with deliberately spreading the HIV virus to at least a hundred women - some sources are saying hundreds.
And according to WAVE, some of his sex partners may have been in Louisville. Police are trying to find out if there are victims here, and want to hear from with anyone in Louisville who may have had any kind of contact with Perkins.
WHAS says Perkins used the web site PlentyofFish.com to find sex partners. WHAS also interviewed a former girlfriend of Perkins, who claims he once told her: 'a whore gave it to me, so if a whore wants to sleep with me on the first night, she deserves what she gets."

As reported here previously, Bullitt County Sheriff Robert Hedges recently found himself on the wrong side of the law for assaulting his girlfriend and for possession of a pipe bomb. And now, according to FOX 41, he's been accused of child pornography:
According to public records obtained earlier today by Fox 41 reporter Bill Alexander, Hedges's girlfriend told police that he keeps a laptop computer under his bed that allegedly contains child pornography. She also said he was in possession of several bootleg DVDs and some containing child porn, those documents say.
According to the search warrant affidavit, Hedges's girlfriend also told investigators that the screen on the laptop was broken. When she suggested to Hedges that he take it to get it fixed, he told her he couldn't because "they would see what he has on it," the records say.
The laptop and DVDs have been seized by investigators.

I don't make it a point to look for these "bad cop" stories, honest I don't. But they just keep popping up. Now Fox 41 is reporting that Metro Corrections Officer James Mikesell has been charged with with tampering with physical evidence, sexual abuse, and official misconduct.
According to the arrest warrant, Mikesell entered the prison cell of the female victim on Saturday, February 20th and engaged in sexual contact with her. I'm assuming it was non-consensual, since the terms "sexual abuse" and "victim" are being used. The warrant further alleges that Mikesell disposed of a towel that he used in the act in the restroom, which was later found and retrieved.
The LMPD are now investigating the matter.

Inmates can't legally consent to have sex with a corrections officer. So, whether she said yes or appeared agreeable to the sexual contact with the corrections officer, it can never be construed as consensual sex. |

A person is deemed incapable of consent when they are under the care or custody of a local or state agency and the actor is employed by that agency. (IE., Inmate and a Jail Guard) |
