Tonight is the opening of an exciting new art gallery here at the Mellwood Arts Center, the home of all this Mojo.

Jeaneen Barnhart is the lead artist and curator of the new space, located near the main entrance here. Her work, featuring many recently completed pieces, is being featured tonight. But Barnhart said the gallery will eventually feature a variety of artists and events.

The project is a collaboration of the facility, Barnhart and Art X/P, a business owned by Carl Hamilton.

Barnhart, whose work has been featured in Derby posters, gained some notoriety recently when her work was featured on the HBO series Entourage.

Tonight's event is from 5:30 until 10 p.m.

I think the grand opening was completely successful, and I look forward to new works and artists that will soon be infiltrating Louisville's hottest new gallery!
