So, the weekend was very busy as the Crescent Hill Garden Tour kicked in. I had between 75 and 100 hundred people tour the Community Garden and Straw Bale House on Saturday, and literally had four breaks which amounted to less than a half hour combined. Hopefully, the Louisville Home Tour this Saturday is a bit less popular, if only to protect my own sanity (feeble though it may be).
The reaction to having such a unique project on the traditionally "Flowery" garden tour certainly was nice though. I got everything from "Neat" and a single sentence, to half hour conversations on the building and properties of the SB house, and virtually everyone loved the community garden, with several asking to be contacted for next years plots.
All in all, well worth the effort to get people psyched and motivated...But Dayum, this boys tired.
