Oh this has been an afternoon. We went TV shopping. Lucky us, found what we wanted after only the second stop. Spent 45 minutes of the salesman's time at HH Gregg at Stonybrook, picking out not only a TV, but a nice little piece of furniture to hold the TV. But, it was not to be. After, the salesman went to write up the deal, he returned after only a few moments to say he had neither item in stock. WHAT!?
Leaving me to wonder aloud, why, oh why, do they keep the TV's on display that they do not have in stock? The salesman was sorry. Of course he was sorry, he lost a commission, so he should be pissed at the people he works for.
We then go to a couple of more places, where we found TV's, but the one's we wanted to buy were all out of stock. Again, why are these TV's on display?
Finally, we wind up at HH Gregg's on Outer Loop. Walked in and the salesman asked if he could help us. I said probably not, unless he had all of the TV's in stock that he was displaying. He said he did not, but pointed at the very one we wanted at said he had that one. We became happy. The salesman went to check, and guess what? You guessed right. They didn't have it....and I said, sell us the display. He said he couldn't. I went off and said they should take down every TV they didn't have in stock. The manager came over, and sold us the display.
Now, I'm watching Jim put it all together. I feel better.
