May 23-26, 2008. Carter Caves State Park, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Dear Posse,
We survived Memorial Day weekend... the poison ivy, cicadas, bats, mud, rain, horses, canoes, kick-as trails and most of all, the personalities of 10 friends camping together. We had a GREAT time being ourselves with nature. Thinking about camping? Some words of advice... You are NOT going to stay clean. You are NOT going to stay dry. You WILL be surrounded by bugs, trees, birds, dirt and smoke. Are we all sore? Sure! Did we all find out a little more about each other? Definitely! We are still friends... in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. We all have achieved a new nickname this weekend as an organizer, Mr. Chef, the pirate, the helmet, the home-maker, the quiet, the beaten, the drama queen, Miss Chef and Claire. We Survived Each Other and Survived Camping!
All right, guess there is no guessing on the home-maker...lmao. According to Cliff's Buffalo theory of drinking, we should all be geniuses after that trip! Now get the ice back on your ankle. :P
