End of the first day towards a better life

The alarm clock... who created the buzzing noise that I dread in the morning? Just one reason why I wish I could work at home. I wouldn't sleep until noon, but I would wake up at 9am and go to work in my pajamas.... (sigh)! So, I may not like the alarm clock by the end of this year, but I will feel better about myself and be more financially secure.

Starting my day in New Albany, I parked in my spot in the garage. I arrive at the Elsby Building and WALK up the stairs. My asthma fights me every step of the way up the 8 flights of steps. "I know I can. I know I can." is my mantra while my lungs are wanting me to take the elevator.

While at work, I have a 24 oz. plastic cup that gets filled at least twice of water. This makes me, of course, use the bathroom about 10 times a work day. So, I pick the bathroom on a different floor. You guessed it, I only take the stairs.

I also have joined a new gym that's across the street from my house. Tonight, I watched half of "Deal or No Deal" while walking on the treadmill and running on the elliptical machines. I also lifting light weights for my arms, chest and back.

Now, I LOVE to eat! I love all kinds of foods. I love good cooking, comfort foods, junk foods and fast foods. So, how am I going to get a better life and feel like I am not depriving myself. Well, I can't conquer everything at once. I am starting off by getting my lazy butt off the couch! I am going to start a food dairy.

Now I am going to share a tip to others who want to change their lifestyle to feel better about themselves.
1) GET MOVING... you don't have to go to the gym right away, but an example is parking far away from the door not right next to it.
2) STOP EATING 2 HOURS BEFORE YOUR BEDTIME
3) DRINK WATER... at least 64 fluid ounces a day
4) EAT 3 MEALS... must begin with nutritious breakfast
5) ELIMINATE ALCOHOL... at the beginning to kick start your weight loss

My first goal: I want my jeans to feel better on me right out of the dryer. Ouch! LOL
