I got a phone call tonight. After being accepted to IU school of music, or well being accepted BACK i should say i realized i couldnt afford it. (technically IUS but "IU" sounds so much more prestigious) When I did a financial aid form they said I should be able to account for 5k dollars of my yearly education fees. They did'nt laugh when I said "But that only covers books!". Sure, I could get student loans but why? When I get out of school I will basically be making the same money I am making now only I will be thousands in debt instead of debt free. That somehow seems useless.
So this brings us too today when I got an "out of area" phone call.
guy: (monotone) "This is blah from blah blah blah company hired by Indiana University to discover why accepted students are not enrolling for classes this semester."
me: "Well, I'm waiting for the money tree to start dropping bills on my lawn."
guy: (monotone) "Well on behalf of IU I would like to thank your for taking the time to answer my question and we will be recording this information for you."
me: "Hey, thanks guy."
guy: "click"
So yeah, part of that out of control touition I cant afford goes to paying some other company to care about me. That makes me feel pretty good since I have'nt paid them a dime in years. I think I will enroll in a bunch of other colleges because its free and there is nothing like free careing phone calls.
