I'm simply looking for other gamers in the area that share similar interests, namely PC gaming. Most of you that are reading this probably play WoW, or some FPS online. Share about it! Let people know what servers you play on, what your characters names are, etc. I know there are other groups and whatnot devoted to each individual game or hell I may be duplicating some post from someone else. Anywho, this is an attempt to unite some of us gamers in the games we love.
I personally have been playing a shitton of Call of Duty 3, on the PC. I do the MMO thing but WoW isn't my cup o tea. As well I play Dungeons and Dragons Online [which is free]. If anyone that reads this is interested in sharing ideas for new games to play, tips for others, etc please do so.
My PC's pretty ancient but I play a lot of Enemy Territory online. Other than that, the only other game I really play is the original Sid Meier's Civilization. After all these years and advancements in technology, I still find my self going back to play that game.
As far as sharing ideas, Id love to setup an old school Doom server but I doubt I could find enough people to make it worth while.
Ah hell yeah, Nukem 3D is the shit. Never tried multiplayer on it though.
The other day I stumbled across my old floppy disk collection and found all of the modded wad files I made for doom. I seriously doubt any of those floppy discs still read but it was nice taking a trip down memory lane. I miss the days when all you needed to create your own game characters was access to MSPAINT.
Keep me informed about the lan idea. If need be, Ive got enough, circa 1996, Pentium PCs laying around to put together a retro lan party for 10.

Section 8 is a FPS that has recently gone into beta testing. The PC version totally owns the xbox360 version, thus why I am posting about mostly the PC version.
The game is similar to Planetside and Tribes if any readers have played these. The game features 16 vs 16 matches with and without NPC bots, up to 5 classes which can be customized at almost any time. There are 7[?] weapons to choose from, around the same number of side equipment to use [grenades, mortar, radar items, repair tool, etc] and like I said a customizable class feature where you can fine tune how each class works, etc.
The PC version also supports the XBOX360 wired controller. I use this personally and it rapes lol
The beta currently has 2 maps and a few game types as far as I know.
