2008 MojoCycle Update

This is your first of the year MojoCycle Update!

Special thanks to everyone that called the hotline to show their concerns with the helmet law bill that was attempting to be passed! Thanks to you, the bill has been withdrawn for now! Way to go! I also want to thank the KMA for bringing that to our attention and getting all of the info out as much as they did.

MojoCycle will be slightly less active in 2008 than we have been in past years mainly because the group has gotten so large, it takes a lot more time, money, & effort to put something together and the time just isn't there right now. We still hope to have an event or meet & greet at least a few times this year and we're hoping to continue doing ThunderBash again but maybe on a smaller scale.

The group bike night rides have also grown to the point where it is no longer safe to ride as one large group while trying to dodge traffic and deal with stop lights/intersections. I have a good idea for an alternative bike night option and that will be sent out in a broadcast once bike nights start up again.

Posting in the MojoCycle message board is a great way to communicate with fellow bikers - even in the colder months! Got any winter projects? Tell us about it in the garage section of the forums!

I also changed the title of two of the forums today - hopefully it will cut down on confusion.

The Poker Run, Bike Rally, and Bike Event forum has been renamed to "Organizational Rides & Events"

Any event, rally, or ride that is sponsored by an MC or a legit charity organization such as Kosair/Crusade/Spina Bifida/Feed the Children/ETC may be posted in this section. This also goes for major Bike Rally events such as the Harley Drags, Easyriders, etc.

The "Special Events and Group Rides" forum has been changed to "Independant Rides & Events"

Any event or ride that is not sponsored by a organization may go in this forum. This would include events/rides such as "John Smith Benefit" for an individual that is having a poker run done for them by other individuals or "John Smith Ride to the Dragon" in which an individual (John Smith in this case) wants to see if anyone wants to join him on a weekend trip to do the Dragon.

I was going to remove a couple forums today but I'm going to try and see if this cuts down on confusion and works better first.
