The 7 Wonders of Louisville have been chosen! Voters have selected the following sites as the seven wonders of our fair city:

• Belle of Louisville
• Cave Hill Cemetery
• Churchill Downs


• Falls of the Ohio
• Olmsted Parks System
• Slugger Museum and Bat Factory
• Waverly Hills Sanitorium

Churchill Downs received the most votes, with over 6,000 total votes cast in the contest over all. John Asher, Vice President of Communications for Churchill Downs stated that he was thrilled about the news on behalf of Churchill Downs. He will receive a top "7 Wonders of Louisville" plaque at a ceremony on Thursday, May 22nd at noon.

What a great city we live in, eh, mofos? We encourage you to visit the 7 Wonders of Louisville during the summer, along with all the other cool cultural and historical sites in the city. Thanks go out to over 50 sites who were nominated, to the 20 finalists chosen, and to the Louisville Historical League for making this such a fun and educational contest.
